recently bought a tsc speeco quick hitch and after buying and installing bushings for 6 implements ( all but tiller bought at tsc), so far it works on 1 of the three i've tried to use...ballast box..yup with drilling a new hole for the top link; carry-all..nope... qh too narrow; rake...nope qh too wide; sub-soiler & tiller...don't know, gave up and called it a day. So much for prepping the wife's veggie garden.

Look's like I'm back to doing it the slow way as it looks like the cat-1 dimensions of tsc's implements (all but tiller are farmforce) are not consistent.

This is curious as I believe these implements and the quick hitch are all made by speeco.

SpeeCo only makes the quick hitch, the rest of the implements depends on what distribution center they come from.

And judging by the dissatisfied tone of your post, I believe you meant to type woes - not wows. I have quite a few implements, and estimate that the Harbor Freight QH I bought years ago fit maybe half of them. I didn't bother modifying any implements though. Just sold it and bought PEC. Been using them for over 3 years now, and never looked back.

Yep, sounds right.

I have had to modify every implement I own in some way to fit the QH. I figure the upfront investment in time to make the modifications will pay off over years of use and the luxury of not having to wrestle with the heavy stuff.

It's a far from perfrect world out there with respect to QH.

Whew, glad I didn't go that route! Good luck sorting it out. Although you're right when you say it'll be worth it after you get the compatibility issues sorted out.

But this gives me a chance to put in an unsolicited (and unpaid) plug for the "Pat's Easy Change" system I bought a few weeks ago after considering several options. I don't how it'll hold up over time but I can say without reservation that it was stone simple to install and so far has worked without any problem on a box blade (Woods), 2-bottom plow (Massey Ferguson), disc (King Kutter) and tiller (also KK). I am going to have to buy a slightly longer top link but that's it. I'm impressed, even more so after reading your post about the TSC item

Have you tried the Delta Hook? The receiver plates should match up well to all your implements. Check out Delta Hook Homepage.
