I finally got a chance to work on the used LK3054 I bought 2 weeks ago. Got a new battery and she starts right up. Changed the oil and used a napa 51182 filter. Seems ok. I did take the GB 260 loader off but I think I am missing a stand or something. I took a chain and tied it to a ceiling joist and backed out from under it. As soon as I can get a look at another GB260 I will weld up a replacement stand.
Problems I found were few. I has to add a quart of 90w oil to the front end. May need seals. How do you check the other fluids? Could not find a sight glass on the rear.
One question. The pipe that attaches to the valve cover and runs down the side of the engine. How much blow by should I be getting there? It seems to blow pretty good.
I got to brush cut about a half acre. It actually cuts better and faster than my L3010 GST. I hate to admit it and the guys in the Kubota forum are going to disagree but this thing flys. It turns sharper, climbs better, has a 2 stage clutch(my Kubota didn't), and barring a major mechanical problem I have 1/2 the money in it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
