Talk about a "sign"...I was just yelling out the front door looking for out cat (we live in the country)...when I saw a semi with a flatbed pull up and STOP on the road right in front of our house. The semi had two brand new bright orange Kubotas and what appeared to be a NH. The Kubotas were some type of midsize CUT and one of the rear engine tractors I have seen at the Kubota dealer. The driver appeared to be checking the chains. We live about 30 miles from the closest dealer.

The Kubota dealer/owner is a friend I used to work with and I was in his shop just last week looking. I called him and said..."your driver missed my house!" After I explained it appears not one of his trucks. Probably the Kubota dealer that is about 50+ miles away in Wisconsin...we are in Minnesota...must be "poaching" some deals in MN! Kind of concerns me as I sense "my" guy may not be very aggressive on pricing :(

I told my wife this must be a "sign".

The odds of

1) a semi with two new tractors of any brand driving by our house

2) those being Kubotas

3) the driver stopping directly in front of our house

4) and most significantly...me happening to be out on our front porch at that exact time...we do have lots of trees/woods between our house and the road...I saw the orange as he drove by the driveway and stopped.

It could have been my wife surprising me...NOT :)

I will try to download a pic later...may be a challenge?

Thanks...Tom R in Two Harbors, MN

Just spoke with the Wisconsin dealer...he was delivering 3 tractors and a brush cutter. Had already dropped of a NH and was cutting across the back roads for another delivery. He said he now knows the way!

how odd, I probably live 10-15 miles away from you and just bought one from the guys over in wisconsin, but it came about 3 weeks ago. he must be doing good business =P mine came on a truck with another kub going up north and a big NH going out to esko...so that makes the same count. nothing rear engine, though

The Kub dealer in WI must be doing pretty well in MN. :)

Is the Duluth dealer not up to par? I have not negotiated any pricing yet but I get the feeling he may not be too aggressive? Did you get a bid from Duluth also?...if so how much different.

The Wi guy sounds pretty nice on the phone. Your experience? Like they say you do "buy the dealer".

We are in Clover Valley. What did you buy? WHere are you located?
