Hey all,
I got a 1987ish Troy Bilt Econo Horse SN E0029623, Replaced the engine did some little mods to make the new engine fit, ran great etc.. But the tiller shaft housing was leaking oil. The tines and tine assembly were so rusted the whole thing had become one piece, so after hours of PB, wd 40, hammers and leverage it all came apart. When i pulled the tiller housing cover off everything looked good. The insides of the oild seals were worn away, but the outer part of the seal had become one with the inside of the cover, In my attempts to get this thing out i messed up the outside of the cover, possibly beyond repair. Anyways does anyone know where I can find a new tiller housing cover for my tiller? It is part number 10812. Mtd doesn't make them or stock them anymore, I have looked through the forums, looked at those websites for old parts, ebay, you name it I have looked. Am I just SOL? Any help would be appreciated.
