My rayco c140 wants to spin the head slowly all the time. The external adjustments have been done and still having trouble. My dealer suggested getting it to a hydraulic specialist and that it's something internal. It's difficult to start with power being sent to the head while cranking, not to mention dangerous. Any ideas??

Mine done the same thing once, I finally narrowed it down to the hand lever to engage the head, the cable got out of whack.
Hope it's the same for u

You can stop that happening by adjusting the outer cable at the bracket just in front of the muffler. It's fiddly but with a little patience you'll get it right, just don't do it when the tractor's hot. If there is no more adjustment, a long steel bar and a good sized hammer will do the trick.:D. Now If all that didn't work then remove the cable off the actuator arm on the top of the pump, ( it's on a spline ) and rotate the arm one notch at a time, reset the cable and see how it goes. How many hours has the machine done?

It has 1700 hours, but looks like a tough 1700.

Maybe time to start a budget for the pump replacement. Over here in Aust most of them blew the cutter pump to pieces between 2-3000 hours. When it does go (no if) replace it with a Saur Danfoss pump, they are far superior
