I have a Jd 5425 and using it to plow snow with a remote controlled angle blade. Works great when connected but I have an awful time making the connections. We using skid steer style connectors that came with the plow. Sometimes I have to push the center plunger with a screw driver or something to release some pressure before it will snap into place. However today, nothing seem to work
so I backed off a oil line fitting and let some of the oil run out then it connected nicely. Can the oil pressure in the hydraulic line on the snow plow be adjusted to less pressure? Hope I don't have to loosen the line every time I want to remove or connect the plow! Any suggestions.

You need to relief the pressure by first turn tractor off then moving control back and forth then disconnect your blade. Hope that helps.

Do whatever you can to relieve pressure before disconnecting, such as cycling the valve/lever with the tractor off. That should help a lot if you're not doing that now.

s219 has it right. Turn the tractor off and then cycle the valve several times at least to relieve the pressure before disconnecting. You should notice the plow settling in. The plow needs to be supported while you are relieving the pressure with the control valve. If you are setting it in dirt or maybe the snow good luck getting it reconnected. The plow needs to be set on some thing solid so that it will not move during and or after being disconnected. My loader bucket does the same thing. On dirt I have a more difficult time re-connecting the hoses because the bucket settles in. On concrete very few problems. Also if you have something on the three point you will need to lower that implement also to take the load of the hydraulics because it can keep the system charged per se. I am assuming that the plow it mounted to the front of the tractor. That's all I can think of right now. Maybe somebody else has some pointers? Hey. Later

And murphy1244 also had it right just a follow up.

Also I learned to not un hook with any cylinder tight to the end of its stroke. Plus what others have said.

Another thing that helps is to remove remote cylinders while they are still warm. Then when they cool off there is no pressure from thermal expansion. I try to unhook my front end loader when it's warm during the day and hook it back on in the early morning or evening when the air is cooler. I have less problems then. This is in addition to the procedures that others have already mentioned in this thread.

I set my plow on an unused flatbed trailer so the JD hooks hang over the edge and snow drops off. When I re-install I just get the hooks and pins in place then carry the plow down to my shop before even trying to connect the angle cylinders. A torch or electric heat gun then melts the ice out of the QDs pretty quick.

I've had similar trouble with my front mounted snow plow. I've found using a floor jack to lift the plow frame and take the weight off the cylinders helps. I also keep a small hammer with a brass punch nearby to tap the quick-connect collars on/off.
