Well, I must admit, I like the guards around the hazzard lights on my GC... So much so I had to try them out on a fence post:mad:! I bent it, and then backed up to try and straighten it.:ashamed: Worked somewhat, but it did its job, did not damage the light, just the mount for the bracket!! I will take the bracket off and hammer it straight again.

I never really had much problem with mine on this tractor (I knocked them off my 2310 so frequently that I actually learned), but my wife and neighbor did frequently enough that I took the bracket and lights off. They are stored safely away until it's time to sell.

I thought about that...but I do mow and drive frequently along a fence that is along a road. About 1/2 mile.

My bush trails are just over 4' wide and I come close to hitting the lights so I will be taking them off. I thought of adding a double socket into the tail lights or replacing them. I wonder what is the reason they cannot /did not put the flashers into the tail lights. With the implements I have the tail lights are not obstructed. If I had a snow blower I would put them back for the winter.

Last year I found i was clipping my lights on the ROPs, so moved them interior to the ROP. Saved most of the hits.

To do that you have to reverse them, and build a short extension for the lights to mount. Easy way to extend them is to get a couple of pieces of 1" 1/8th flat steel about 2.5 to 3" long. In each drill 2 holes, one for the old ROP mount and one for the lights (4 holes per side).

I used two pieces per side narrow so that I could use the space between for the hole the wiring goes through. The whole process takes about an hour.

No, I do not have pics.

I am trying to figure out a way to "pin" them so I could just remove the pin and flip them inside the ROPS and then vice-versa when need be. But I am having trouble figuring that out.:confused2:

Unless you are travelling down a road.... why do you need them ?? Although i love my tractor, this was a dumb design... my 2310 stays on my property so i removed them when i bought the tractor because i knew they would get broke off because i have a treeded lot.... when i sell it i will put them back on. Problem solved !

Even finding a way to pin them won't solve the problem of different faces. Once turned you will have the front facing the rear. At least that is the way my GC2400 lights are.

I mean like a door hinge setup. When I need them swing them out, when I don't swing them in.

Or perhaps a spring loaded hinge? So the light could "break away" and then spring back into place.
