Transmission/Hydraulic fluid

I'm need to change the tran/hyd fluid in my CK20H. I haven't been able to find one any of the 3 recommended fluids. The closest thing the local dealer had was Mobilfluid 424. Does any know if this ok for the tractor or have any other suggestions.

Does the Mobilfluid 424 state in the spec sheet that it meet's Kioti spec? It would probably be ok as I suspect they just use a normal off the shelf UTF. My suggestions would be either TRC's UTF or UTF RED. Both exceed the Kioti spec.

The Mobilfluid 424 spec sheet doesn't mention Kioti. I was hoping to find something compatible that I could get tomorrow because my tractor has been out of service too long now. The nearest, yet inconveniently far, Kioti dealer has a Pennzoil product they say is OK but is not one of the recommended oils. I was also told by more than one dealer not to use the universal stuff from TSC.

Just to be clear, I suggested TRC not TSC oil. There is a huge difference. Phone orders from TRC usually only take a couple of day's for delivery.

I used Chevron THD(?) 1000 (no longer have the 5gal bucket, couldn't get the exact letters)in my ck20 and in my ck30 with no problems

My dealer sold me a Texaco product that he says works fine in the Kioti tranny and he uses for all his services. He didn't give me quite enough, though. I have some MF Permatran III Trans/Hyd oil. Does anyone know if this is ok for the Kioti Tranny?

I called the Kioti dealer for a suggestion for a compatible hyd/tran oil. They said that a high quality hydro/trans fluid will work. I'm going to go with the Mobilfluid 424. It is the "next generation technology". Probably the replacement for the Mobilfluid 350. I can pick that up this morning. Thank you for the other suggestions.

With these Kiotis being somewhat uncommon and maybe not listed on the compatibility charts for oils I've done a trick in this situation. I looked up the Kioti recommended lube on the net. Found that it is compatible with brand X,Y,and Z's hydrostatic trans and hydraulic system. JD, Kubota, are typically mentioned. Then I find a locally available UTF oil that also lists the X,Y,and Z on their charts in hopes that it is somewhat equivalent.

I use valvoline UTF from NAPA.

Which is preferable NAPA hydraulic fluid ($9/gal) or Shell DexIII Mercon $6/gal via Costco? (For HST)

I see a lot of empty Costco buckets at my dealer's place, so I'm thinking that would be an acceptable fluid.

It is compatible with fluid brakes, fluid clutches, all types of seals and o-rings and also hydro transmissions. So, it should work fine with your Kioti. There are even a few Mahindra owners on here that are using Permatran.

Universal Hydraulic Tractor fluid. Just about any brand.
I typically tell customers, "If it says it is compatible with K*bota UDT it's fine"
Has to be compatible with wet disc brakes.
Island: Dexron III Mercon may work but it isn't one listed anywhere, better stick with the actual tractor Hydro oil.
It's one of those things where alot of different stuff MAY work but.....

The tractor hydraulic/transmission 5 gallon buckets I saw at Costco appeared to have a generic label on them. Does it say somewhere that Shell makes it? Maybe I saw different stuff than Island Tractor. The label did say it was good for a bunch of different tractors including Kubota UDT.

My Costco doesn't have anything in 5 gallon buckets. Just the DextronIII/Mercon stuff by the case in quart bottles cheap.

Well I baught a couple of 5 gallon buckets of the Costco UTF today. On the label it says it meets or exceeds the specs for a whole bunch of makes of tractors. One of the listings is Kubota UTF. What is the difference between Kubota UTF and Kubota UDT? And is Kubota UTF used in HSTs?
