Xtreme is not sold only by TSC. They sell it around here at Lowes, Rural King, and a few other stores.

I am sure a google search will yield some info. Its just a UTF and should be the same viscosity as any other UTF.

I believe most UTF fluids have a viscosity of 9.3

I have seen Tractor Supply have that fluid on pallets for special sale. Around here it goes fast. In two days both pallets were gone.

our tsc sells it.

there is a pureflow and an ultra.

the pureflow is a pretty economy utf, and has a bad viscosity index.. probably like a block in the cold....and states it is meant for warm weather.. the ultra is a a decent utf like most other generics.

a google search will turn up it's spec sheet. I found it for another board discussing it the other day.

Okay thanks folks, I was just curious, picked up a pail a while back{cheap}. If nothing else I'll use it in the log splitter. I was just wondeing if it'd work in a tractor that called for trans hydraulic fuild mid viscosity{something like an AW46}?

20 20, I think you need to do some checking. If I remember right you have a Chinese tractor with a seperate sump for the gear box and another for the hydraulics?

If this is the case you need to run something like 80W90 gear oil in the gear boxes like I do on my Jinma and then something like your AW46 in you sump for your hydraulics.

In a nut shell AW46 is just a hydraulic fluid and is not approved for gear boxes. Its about 15 weight.

The common hydraulic fluids are : AW32 (about 10W), AW42 (about 15W), and AW64 (about 20W)

The UTF fluids are approve for COMMON sump tractors where the gear box and the hydraulics share he same sump. UTF is about a 10 weight oil or (10W), actually 9.39W but close enough, and could be used in place of a AW32 hydraulic oil but if used the system must be drained and then install the UTF, don't mix.

What I am getting to here is your AW46 fluid is not a Trans/Hydraulic fluid like you stated, its just a strait hydro oil and is not approved for use in gear boxes.

Thanks Diamondpilot, I got rid of the jinma:( I did use gear oil in the trans on that though, and an aw32 for hydraulics. I also use gear oil in the nortrac dozer and aw32 for hydraulics. I now have a LS 3010 and it calls for a trans/hydraulic type oil to take care of both. I also read in the manual it called for a mid grade 46 oil that's were my confusion came into play. I'll do some research. Thanks again for the post

Sounds like UTF is the stuff you need but I would check with the dealer first.
