This has been a hotly contested topic here in the past and you're sure to get a lot of opinions.
Although there are many oils out there with similar specs, my preference has been to stick with Kubota SUDT2 trans oil. Yes, it's expensive but how often do you change it. How much do you really save? I consider the extra cost to be a bit of insurance against any possible warranty issues. Although rare, Kubota has denied warranty claims on damage caused by oil that does not meet their specs. Product labels aren't always accurate.
For example, a guy here in town had to pay for an expensive repair because he did the first oil change on his L3430HST using a product he bought at TSC. He showed the product label with specs to the Kubota rep who claimed when tested, the oil did not meet those specs. An isolated case? An error on the part of the oil company? Probably, but it was verified by the service manager who I know quite well.
I'm sure someone will post that this is all bull, rumor and hearsay. You can believe what you like but my opinion is, why take a chance.
