Two issues.I recently changed the fluid in the tranny in my 5525 with 0nly 50 hrs (in 3 yrs) and my dealer said to use Napa UTF. I used Mahindra filters and did clean the screen at the bottom of the tranny.( not the easiest job as I have a custom full frame for the bh and brakepeddals have to be moved) Everything works as it did before except for the Bradco 509 bh bucket. Oddly, it works to dig and rip, but the jaw is slow to open. The swing, boom, dipper all work fine, just the bucket opening very slow. I noticed that the factory fluid that I drained had a lower viscosity than the Napa that was suggested. When I use the spool valve to open the bucket it makes noise similar to when you bottom out on the hydraulics, but the bucket is nowhere near the end of its travel. Unfortunately, my warranty is expired. Bought the rig in 07 and have not used it much as you can see, so no longer covered.
I will do one more oil change and looking for the Mobil 424, as was suggeted by another dealer, not near me. I live in Washington and cant find any local dealer or trucking company selling that product. It is availabe online, but shipping is the price of another bucket. Any WA residents have knowledge where I can purchase locally or a sismilar product? Acculube has it for around $70/5 gal, + around $60 to ship.
