Trailers. Sur-Trac, Cross Country, Bri Mar, PJ?

Looking at 5k 20' Equipment trailers with a top rail and hd rear gate. So far the Sur-Trac looks like the best fit and finish. I do not like the cross members on 24" but all dealers are telling me that it is just me. The Cross Country is very nice with cross members on 16" but does not look like quite the build quality of the Sur-Trac but still very nice. The Sur-Trac is also the least expensive. The Bri Mar looks nice but very pricey. Well built trailer. PJ is not too bad but for the money I think the others are better? Anyone looked at these same trailers?

Sure Trac is built here near me, I looked at them, and they are nice trailers, but a bit pricey

I am not familiar with Rice? Right now the Sur Trac has the best price for what I am looking for and looks like a very good trailer. The Bri Mar looks very good also for quite a bit more.

I think your 5K may be a typo. Not sure if you mean a 7K or trailer with 2- 5K axles. I have a PJ 22' TF full tilt bed and a Cross Country dump trailer. The CC trailers are built here in NY just a few miles south of you. The PJ, CC, Bri Mar are all quality built trailers. I have not seen a Sur-trac. B-Wise trailers are also built well.

I have a 3 board Sure Trac trailer with 2-3500# axles. After 9 months of use the powder coat paint looks like crap. Mind you it does get used in the winter in Northern Michigan. Salt! Yuck! Other then the paint, I like the trailer. Oh, the tongue jack that came with it was not heavy enough to raise the tongue with a load. It worked very hard. eTrailer had a 5000# one, and it raises loaded trailer much easier. Jon

I also have Bri Mar, single axle 6 x 10 trailer. Not sure of its paint type, but after 5 or 6 years of year round use, I had it blasted and repainted with Imron paint. Sure Trac is 16ft lg. Jon

CornPro makes really nice trailers. Check them out. I have two and have no complaints.

I purchased a 10k 20' sure trac after looking for a couple of days. I did get it with a rail around it. Jack is pretty heavy duty. Trailer has a fine fit and finish. Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks to all you guys who offered up your thoughts.
