Brand new here guys but, wanted to thank everyone for the info I've gotten from the threads. Great resource.
Todays question. I just got my Mahindra 4110 setup on my Pequa 10k trailer. Ran it over to a friends scale and, as I feared, with the trailer/tractor combo alone on the scale....10680#. That's no weight on the truck and obviously no truck on the scale. I was going to roll this rig from SE.PA. to north central Fl. in 2 weeks but, am now concerned about that run down I-95. I'm looking for some opinions from you experienced guys.
Once the trailer is connected to the truck and hitch weight is on the pintle do I consider that removed from axle weight? ie. 1500 lbs. on the hitch equals 9180 on the axles?
Would anyone make this run that close to max on the trailer?
I have work for the hoe but, could take it off and leave it behind thereby removing 1400 lbs. from the tractor but, I really don't want to.
Any thoughts on safety or configuration would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
