Went to dealer to p/u tractor after BH75 was installed. Started slowly up the ramps and the bucket begins to drag. I back down lift the bucket up and out, try again and sub frame of the BH digs into the pavement, no go. This has not been an issue with any other implaments

He had a loading dock so I backed up to it and loaded the tractor. What is the best bet to fix my problem?

I could raise the front of the trailer by extending the gooseneck which would lower the rear but once the truck was squatted by a heavy load the truck would sit low in the rear/trailer unlevel. The same could be accomplished by running the landing gear down hard to lower rear of trailer.

Thought of driving rear duals up on something to help matters but that would be a pain every time I loaded and unloaded.

Brother in law suggesting using the BH to lift/ push the tractor onto trailer. I dont think this is a good idea on a regular basis.

I am thinking best bet is to lengthen the ramps from 2' to about 3' ??

What do ya'll think.. Thanks, Chuck.

You probably have the solution in hand.

Interim solution may be some blocks under the ramps low enough to allow the front wheels up may help a little. You could use this method to determine how long your ramps should be.

Hey, Chuck, I lke your taste in tractors!
I have the same problem, and recently there was a post on this. One answer I liked was to build a pair of platforms from stacked 2x8's, with one end having the planks stepped about 2" each. I haven't made mine yet, but I probably need 3 layers. If you're towing with a pickup, it seems easy to just toss them in the back. I'm getting a BH80-X put on right now, and will make mine and report on it in a few days.

I had / have the same problem. If you plan on extending your ramps or whatever else, test it, before you build a pernament version.

I had a deck over trailer that my backhoe would catch the ground everytime I loaded it. I found a great deal on a standard utility trailer. 2' longer ramps and 18" short and the backhoe still hits the ground.

The problem is my backhoe bucket when fully curled is at least 6' from the rear axle of the tractor. Even a little angle on the front tires drives that backhow down quick.

Anyway, I dont trailer the backhoe enough to worry about it. I have a nice little divit in the truf at the end of the driveway.

Let the air out of the trailer's tires???

Seriously, longer ramps. No question about it. 2 feet is way too short. :)

yeah, crazy
i have a equipment trailer (not deckover) and the ramps are like 5' long and they still stick sometimes.
2' is way too short

Wow... I overlooked the two keys.. deckover and 2' ramps.... there is no way those can work... stupid they were built that way in my opinion...I was of the back it on variety, but like most of them are saying.. extend the ramps...

Adding and additional 2-3' would help a lot. You may still need to toss a board under them to raise them up a couple inches.
