I'm getting ready to replace four tires on my two horse, bumper pull trailer. It currently has 205/70R15 tires on it, but I believe it's supposed to have 205/75R15 tires on it. I've been pricing tires, and am confused. Trailer specific tires are significantly more expensive than I expected. I was quoted $138.00 apiece locally for Goodyear load range C trailer tires. I've found better prices on brands Ive never heard of online, but that doesn't really do me much good because even if the internet tires are decent quality, I doubt I can have them delivered and installed by the weekend without spending as much on shipping as the tires themselves.
Is there any reason I can't run load range C truck tires? I've not yet priced them locally, but plan to do that tomorrow.
