Trailer shopping?

Greetings. I've been shopping for an equipment trailer or car hauler. I seem to get a lot of hits on this site. It seems like a great site and it keeps asking me to register, so I thought I would do so. Don't have a tractor, but I might someday!

Welcome.

Buying a trailer is always hard for me. Buying too light/small is not good but hitching/pulling an overkill size/weight wise is not good either. Got three single axle trailers now. Well we have two equipment trailers but they are old heavy shop built with pintle hitches that I try to avoid using.

Trailer shopping is not fun. You want something big enough and built well for the lowest possible price.
If you are only going to haul your Jeep you can get by with a smaller 7K rated equipment / car trailer. For larger equipment or full size cars / trucks you might want a 20'er with 82" between the wheel wells.
I currently own 4 trailers. 20' H&H tilt bed car/ equipment hauler, 16' Dump trailer, 24' enclosed car hauler, and a small 5' x 8' utility. Each has its purposes.
