------------------------

Are there other options?

Also is there an adapter to allow me to move my 5th wheel. It has the king pin on the trailer, so I would need a locking sleeve of some sort attached to the 2" receiver.
What is the pin weight of the 5th wheel?

This is the strongest SSQA Hitch that i have seen, rated at 6000 pounds. It has threaded holes in the center bars that you could use to mount something on the top half to hold the 5th wheel pin

I have the dual hitch version. The ball weight is over 3500 pounds on this gooseneck horse trailer.

Those are ok for use with a skid steer, because you can see what your doing when hooking up, with one on a tractor loader it's really hard to see unless you were to install a camera. That being said I wouldn't like having to remove my forks every time I needed to use it. For tractors they have three point mounted trailer movers that work really nice.

Pin weight on the 5er should be about 1200 - within my loader capacity if I get close to the pins. I was wanting it for the front, so I can see as I park or move the units. This wound not be very often. One of the units looks like I can use the forks without removing it, but yes I would need to slide the forks off to use it.

Trying to do this on the economy side too. I could always drill a hole in one of my forks and put a ball there too and take it out when not needed.

I can understand that, a lot easier to see what the trailer is doing when out if front of you. I really think that would be way more weight than you can handle on your loader, you have to think about how far out in front of the pins your hitch will actually be so you have Enough clearance to turn with a fork frame.

Your lift capacity out at the end of the forks is going to be way less than near the pins & probably not enough to lift the trailer if you are anywhere near capacity. I wouldn't weaken the forks with a hole anywhere but at the end.

If your fork frame is heavy enough you could have it modified on the top sort of like this, but then you would have to make the back support removable, or build. Or buy a ssqa frame like this one that has a hitch on top that can be switched out between a ball for gooseneck or a cup for a fifth wheel, then it also has a receiver out the front for a tag style trailer. This design would allow for the weight of a fifth-wheel or goose to be as close to the pins as possible giving max lift that could get, still a lot on a front loader.

I went out and used the bucket on the bottom of the 5er hitch and was able to lift the unit - still had power to spare, so all I need it to figure out a cup that will fit the king pin.
I also found several more units for consideration. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have.

If your loader has enough power & it didn't spring your bucket, you could probably fab up a plate with a ball on it to bolt or weld to to the top of your bucket. Just putting a hole in the top of your bucket for a ball might be a little sketchy & likely to spring or tear your bucket without some additional reinforcement.

Just make sure you have plenty of ballast on the back if you're using your loader to keep traction, avoid busting your front axle & most importantly avoid rolling.
