Trailer for MT124

HI,

I can get the trailer pictured for 1500.00 which sounds like a great deal. I have delivery for my new LSMT125 set for the 20th of this month so I have to make a decision. My thinking is that it might be fun to do some work with my new tractor, as a business, to make a few bucks even though I don't really need to. If I did I would have to get insurance since people are sue happy. If I don't do any work with my tractor I'll have this trailer just taking up space. I figure I could rent one if I needed service. Another thought is to buy it, see what happens and then sell it.

The cost of a trailer rental is about the same as my dealer charges to pick up. I don't have a place for a trailer yet so I have just been paying the pickup fee. 1500 seems pretty standard for a trailer if that size.

I have a car hauler trailer just about like that and I love it! It's easy to load/unload. I like the open 'flatbed' as things can be loaded from the side. You can add sideboards if you need to....all around they're handy to have. When you get your tractor, look for a good price on pallet forks, man I use the daylights out of mine

You're in NC but looking at tractors at a dealer in AL, check out a few in GA...this is my dealer. here's a few of their current packages

I live about 5 mins from Haney Equipment. Haven't bought anything from them but they seem like nice people when I went to look at some of their box blades. Their pics on the website aren't close enough to determine brand / specs on the trailer but in the Athens area, $1500 is about $250-500 less than most places for an 18-20ft car hauler style trailer with 1 brake. I am also in the market for a trailer in this exact configuration so I may stop by and see if I can get some detailed specs. They had a "stack" of these trailers in their lot last week when I drove by.

I dealt with Adam Haney. A great guy so far. He said the trailer is 83" wide by 20ft long. 7000lbs. GWVR 2ft dove tail and 1 brake axle. If you are going there check out the welds. On the fenders are they spot welded or do they have a nice weld. Are the welds nice and smooth or lumpy. If they are lumpy it wasn't welded properly. Is the tubing square? Let me know what you find. 1500.00 for this trailer in NC is a great price. I know this was a package deal if u buy a tractor so not sure if he will try to charge u more.
