Buying Advice Trading TC35DA for 3040 w/ Cab. Thoughts on trade $.

The 27 K price for 3045 tractor,cab,cvt, only and that is below dealer cost. There is now way that includes the 260TL loader option.

If his figures are true they are giving him a new tractor for his trade and he is paying for the loader and deluxe cab. I wouldn't wait too long to respond to that sale.

Yeah well, it was too good to be true. I had a feeling Jinman knew his stuff, so I called this morning and had a feeling when I asked the salesman about the 3040 and he said, I think that's a 3045, he didn't know his stock and things weren't looking good. Puts me on hold, gets back on, says he can't find it in his inventory and he'll call me back with price. When he calls me back, he asks me if I am sitting down. Knew what was coming. It winds up being $34,500 with the CVT and FEL and cab.

When he told me the $27K, he was thinking of a T3010 with a lot more incentives on it. He doesn't even have a 3010. Oh well, I'm out. Not going to pay $17K for 5 more HP and a cab and new transmission. Would be nice, but I still love my 35 (thank god).

Well, I'm sorry you got your hopes up on a false promise.

$34.5k is still a 'good' price for a CVT transmission in a 3040 with loader and cab. I think as time goes on and we have people here who buy the CVT models with cabs and loaders, you will see that they are paying in the high 30s. I could be wrong and hope I am, but my research says the 3040 tractor will sell for $35k to $37k. It's awfully hard to give up a perfectly good TC35DA and pay those kinds of prices. Like you, I'd keep the TC35DA and maybe consider getting an aftermarket cab for it.

Thanks. Yup, that's what it was, got my hopes up. Since my brother does boat canvasing, I think I'll get the hard bimini top and have him enclose off of that. I was really looking forward to heat and AC, but again for $17K, I'll deal with it. Just to look at them do you know of any aftermarket manufacturers of cabs.

New Holland sells a soft cab for your tractor for about $850-$900. Of course, it doesn't have AC or heat, but it will keep you dry and out of the wind. It even has a manual windshield wiper.

I don't know of aftermarket hard cab manufacturers with heat/AC, but I have seen a few here on TBN. A search might turn up something.
