Don't feel so bad. You are (rather sadly) in the majority. For me, keeping a clean machine is part of my everyday marketing campaign. I may be wrong, but at least up here, upscale residential clients are not going to hire out their tractor service jobs to someone with ratty looking equipment. I might be inclined to let things go a bit more or longer between washes if my tractor was for personal use only. But when you are trying to sell your services to upscale clients, appearances matter.
