Trade 60" deck for 54"

I posted this a couple of weeks ago in the operating section with no offers. So I'll try here.

I bought a BX 2230 with a 60" MMM last winter. THe tractor and deck are in excellent condition with now 52 hours on the meter.

I need to trade the deck for a 54" model. Is anyone interested?

What's wrong with the 60"" deck?

Nothing is wrong with the 60" deck. As I stated in the other thread it is just too large for my needs.

Ifin I had bought orange, I would jump all over your offer.
1. Reduces the uncut circle
2. Puts you tractor futher away from trees and objects.
3. Dont run over same spot twice when cutting.

I have 2 48'' BX1500 MMMs.
Would like to trade one of them for a 54'' MMM

I traded up from 54 to 62 simply by buying a deck shell on EBAY.
Then I changed out the pulleys and sold the 54 shell. If you want
to move up keep looking on EBAY and Craiglist and I bet you will
eventually find what your looking for.

Perhaps there is a way to solve your size issue jrschremser ? is the width the issue when going between stuff ? what if you just cut 6 inches off the plastic deflector chute? or what is too big about the 60 inch deck?

The BX2230 should have a metal deflector.

Even with removing the discharge deflector the deck is too wide for to fit on a standard 5 by 8 trailer at 62 3/4". I will use this machine in areas where the large tractor won't go so simply buying another trailer isn't feasible. Can't cut others trees either.

Feasible or not, a 5 x 8 trailer is itty-bitty teenie-weenie for your tractor. Need dual axles. Need trailer brakes.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but I've tried to make due with a 3,500# capacity 5 x 10 trailer and it just doesn't work.
