I keep watching the quick connect deck video on deere.com and I really shouldn't 'cause it makes me want one. Anyone tried to trade in a 2210 with loader and mower? I'm betting the dealer won't pay diddly for it?? 669 hours on er.

Better to keep what you have imo. Trading is expensive and from the looks of it you must be satisfied with the size and power since your new choice is so similar in abilities.

I had a thorough "test mow" and go over with my salesman of a 1026R on Thursday. Not sure of your uses, but I have about 3 acres of lawn and another 3 acres of meadow we like to cut at least once a year, more often if time provides. My sales guy did not recommend the AutoConnect for me. He says it hangs lower than the standard connection points and would have grass wrapped around and around it, if I used the 4' rotary cutter. Incidentally my meadow hasn't been cut this year and is about 3' tall meadow grasses, which the salesman has seen. Otherwise, it is a comfortable machine. It doe have a lot of plastic on it and the two I rode had ROPS that rattled like nobody's business.

Yep, for my own good I should keep what I got. (At least it has no rattles) If the 1026 ROPS rattles I don't think I want it. The idea was to get a couple extra ponies and a few extra attachments in the deal. I have 3 acres that I mow weekly, (almost daily this year with all the rain) Some of it rather rough as it is former pasture which I am gradually renovating into something like a long term goal of golf course like lawn. the quick tatch would be nice for the wife to be able to drop the mower and use the loader for her gardening. (and for me not standing on my head to attach the driveshaft)

I don't think there would be an appreciable difference in mowing speeds between your 2210 and a 1026R. I would point out that you could buy several attachments to aid you in improving your lawn instead of buying the new tractor. A 48" tiller, 48 to 60" landplane/grader and a 3 pt 60" harrow for starters.
