This evening I went to the tractorsmart site and downloaded and printed the parts manual for the 60" MMM. I then was going to do the same for the loader & backhoe parts manuals. On both of these manuals, there was only the front page and nothing more. Does anyone know if they have been removed in favor of the newer model, or is it just a temporary problem? I did find the BX22 tractor parts manual, but decided that I didn't want to give my printer a 263 page workout this evening.

Junkman,
forgive me for asking a silly question - Did you give the books enough time to load? The loader book is 76 pages, the backhoe is 74 pages. Even though .pdf files are highly compressed compared to regular .doc files, they still have to come to you one page at a time. Depending on your hookup speed, they might need several minutes each ("your mileage may vary") As far as printing them out, I never do. Instead, as soon as the acrobat reader loads and the first page appears on my screen, I click on the little diskette icon and save a copy. Once the save process starts, walk away and get a bit of your favorite beverage (or whatever) It takes just as long to save as to load, but you just have to do it one time. Then you have a permanent copy of your own that you can look at whenever you want. If you need a hardcopy of a page (or a range of pages), you can print just that piece out as needed. I carry a USB pen drive with me everywhere I go. My partsbooks are on it, in case I need them.
I looked at the books just now, it seems that they have passed the links off to a streamer service (streamload.com) Didn't wait for anything beyond the initial page, since I already have a copy. Maybe this sidestep takes a little longer? Give it another try. If it doesn't go past page one after, say 5 minutes, I'd drop tractorsmart.com a note and ask them about it.
To me, this is an excellent public service and a good business move. Not on their payroll or anything, but I know I am more likely to order parts from them because they are offering it.

Yes, I did give it time to load, and I have a cable connection, so it didn't take very long to do so. The BX22 tractor manual is over 200 pages and that one loaded in a second. It is just the loader and backhoe manuals that don't load. Must be a sight problem. (pun intended) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can you navigate me around that site please ? I am unable to find the downloads you are referring to. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I recently paid $40 for the printed version, and would like to find info on the BH parts as well. Thanks.

Junkman, I get the same thing for the B7800. The parts book for the tractor loaded right up but the Loader parts manual only gives the first page. I noticed this a month or so ago and just hoped it was a glitch. Guess not.

I just tried it and encountered no problems. Try clearing your browser's cache and try again.

I only get the first page as well, Junkman. I even tried to do it accepting the cookies from "smartload" as it loaded. Nothing but the first page.

I just checked. The BX22 loader and backhoe parts books are back on line and complete. Maybe they had some technical difficulties over the weekend... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Nope.......still does not work for me, first page only.

Could it be an issue with Adobe 6.0?

hmmm,
try right-clicking on the link and choose Save As, to transfer the file to your pc, then try opening that file.

I definately saw a post somewhere about a bug in the Adobe 6.0 when reading PDF's from older versions through the IE plug-in, sounds like that might be the problem.

Thanks for the link Poppa /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think that what happens when you try to view a large PDF file on line it takes a long time for it to load on to you're computer so you only see the ist page at ist, if you wait long enough it will eventually all show up

It is faster and easier to right click and save-then open the PDF file

I have a cable connection that is always on. I left the Tractorsmart.com site "load" overnight and it didn't make a difference. When it says "Done" at the bottom of the screen, there is no more. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Junkman I don't know the explanation for it but I have had it happen many times before with large PDF files- possably version of acrobat, computer resorces /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
my computer would just choke and lock up sometimes trying to view large PDF files while on line

I finally discovered that if you right click the file that you want (wait for options box to appear) select "Save Target As"-download the file, then open it , ALL the problems magicly go away /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Hope this helps-it works for me
