Poor tractor is out in the cold tonight:

tractor-under-cover.jpg

The Weather Channel is predicting 18 to 24" of snow here tonight and tomorrow. If we get anything close to that I didn't want to have to trudge through it 100 yards to get it from the barn. Also, I'd rather have it at the top of the hill rather than trying to bulldoze my way up through it.

So, the poor thing will have to tough it out.

On the other hand, with so much hype, we may get very little. It's happened before. :(

I feel both of your pain... mine goes in the garage every nite. Wipe it down real good after the storm clean up....:drink:

I have snowshoes and a long power cord;)... This can be my life (19.25" snow YTD); but usually not yours. Hang in there.

Mine's out in the cold also, but just because it's too cold to storm. (Not really, but clear and -2 tonight. )For the second winter my neighbors are allowing me to park in their shed while they use their skidder on another of their properties, when it snows I usually take the snosled or snowshoe if I'm really ambitious. I have the lumber and made a gravel pad; next year I'll get my own shelter built.

Jstpssng- Your neighbors are lucky that they can get their skidders into their woodlots and get out again with the saturated groundsurfaces in the NE. Despite subzero/single digit AM temps I still have running surface water here. Loggers around here are not happy campers.

could be the UV will do most of the damage if left out in the open. paint, hoses, tires, etc. guess depends on your latitude. but know the feeling. best under cover of some kind. am sure it will weather the storm as illustrated
i am accepting donations for a structure. hey it's near xmas

You guys are so cute with your "cold".

Mine sits outside year 'round. -40F (without windchill) every winter. It'll be fine. These are not porcelain dolls, they are tractors.

I would NEVER leave my 68 year old 8N outside overnight.
Not my 49 yr. old 3400 TLB, or my 30 yr. old 1920 4x4 FEL either.
They are ALL in nearly pristine condition (I do use them) ....because they are NOT left outside.
