have a cub cadet 125 1970, rewired voltage regulator and have a brand new battery, starts right up, won't stay running...I am thinking its the generator...any ideas
A new (charged) battery should run the engine a looong time!
I'm more inclined to think clogged fuel system.
Also check the vent on the fuel cap.
Could also be cr*ppy modern gas clogging up the carb.
tank has an old screw top with 3 holes, I will drain the tank and blow out the fuel line...it ran just fine last year and then it just crapped out while mulching leaves
Ok , Thanks for all the help, tractor is running but my new issue is it is back firing and when I throttle up, the rpms are alot faster than before but when I engage my mower deck, 42 inch, rpms decrease a little.. any suggestions?
