Tractor won’t start!!

Our tractor will click but won’t start. We replaced fuses, checked safety switches and can’t find anything except this weird wire that seems to go nowhere. What is this and should it be attached to something?

Check all you cables to see if ends are clean

That just looks like a clamp for all the wires and hoses to me.

When u hear a click, then nothing happens, and then no lites on the dash, 9 X out of 10 it’s the battery cables not making a good connection..
Get a battery terminal/cable cleaner.. they’re like $2.00 at Harbor Freight..& do a fantastic job at cleaning the posts and cable ends..
If u SEE GREEN on the cable ends, chances are good that they’re corroded up inside the covering..& probably need replacing.

Are you hearing the click from the starter motor solenoid when you turn the key to on position? Or is it coming from somewhere else?
