Hello to all,

My Kubota M5400 has never had a canopy or any other device to protect me from the sun...My ROPS almost hits the top rafters in the shed I park in, so that's the main reason why. However, I have recently seen some pics of umbrella's that can fit below the ROPS. Most of the ones I have seen online have a max 3.5 star rating and state that the brackets holding umbrella are cheap and break at the welds.

Looking to buy one ASAP and would like your feedback on quality ones that wk, AND are simple to remove and reinstall. I shred under a lot of trees, so I'd remove then and reinstall for pasture and other...anything that is a permanent fixture or takes a lot of time to remove and reinstall will not wk.

Thank you very much inadvance for your suggestions and experience.

Thanks Chew...I already found the website and sent Chris a note...it looks very well made, easily removed and made in Amercan...no china xxxx for sure...I also like how quickly you can remove and reinstall. It also looks like it's made w really quality products and it supports an American small business owner...

Do you have one ?

I use a Golf Umbrella. Priced right and just add a side pipe to the ROPS. I can put it up or down in seconds. :) And these things are HUGE for sun protection.

Some people use them for other things.

Just picture this on your ROPS and how much coverage you will be getting. Stay nice and shady. Save money too!

I hope that John Deere still makes and sells their very nice umbrella. It is completely adjustable for tilt, angle, rotation, and height - plus being top quality throughout. It comes with everything, and reasonably priced. And it even folds up when not in use.
We've had the same JD umbrella one on our old JD for decades now.

thank you mav and scotty...appreciate it !!!
Here's my $5 Golf Umbrella. :) The handle fits within the existing bungee cord on the ROPS.
It was a 92F+ day as you can see the reflection on the top of the umbrella.

Thank you guys...the umbrella seems to be a good option, maybe until I find a permanent one....

Do any of you know what umbrella or similar has really good, thick and durable material?

Thanks again !

Home Depot has some 5' golf umbrellas for $8.00. FIRM GRIP 5 ft. Golf Umbrella in All Black 38124 - The Home Depot. It's a pretty decent umbrella. $8 isn't a lot to risk to see how it actually works out for you.

Some here are putting golf cart canopies on their tractors with tubing that allows the canopy to be slid off. I don't know how much one of those canopies weighs or how much trouble it is to get the canopy on/off.
