For those of us who like Tractor ROW cutters here's a few pictures. The tractor is a Deere 6415 and the Forestry cage is a G.R. Manufacturing from Trussville, AL.

You can have those tires/wheels for about 6K, google Toby Sexton tires outside of Atlanta.

I like the way the cage is tweaked and the blade circle on the mower. It's seen some hard use.

I believe this one might float. I have a wet place on a piece of hunting land where I would like to try it out. Thought about seeing if the guy who owns it would rent just the tractor.

Hinton Machinery is northern AL rents the NH's as seen in Brads post TB 110's, the tires are similar to his pictures, not floating logging tires.

Here is a Kubota M108 that we run on a our pine plantation. Has a push blade and a hydro winch mounted on the frame. Looking at ordering some recut 25 ply airplane tires for the front. Had a NH 8340 that we were running before the Kubota.

What's the point of a ROW tractor ???

It's a tool for keeping Right-of-ways clear under/around lightlines. Tractors are good and fast for small tree sapplings/brush (a few years worth of growth). Everyone I've seen, was pulling a Brown tree cutter made in Alabama. They are caged to protect the tractor and operator from all the abuse they go through.

If the trees are too big for the ROW tractor, mulchers are used because they are better at clearing bigger trees and leaves a finer ground up tree.
