I'm brand new to this site and I'm soon to be in the market for a compact tractor. Lately I've been reading info from this site to gather as much information as I could to help me with my decisions and I've received tremendous help from everyone on this site and I wish to say thanks!!

I would like to return the favor by sharing some information I have found in respects to tractor pricing. This web site I stumbled on has pretty much all the popular makes and brands along with the base MSRP and options MSRP. Mabye it will be helpful to some and not to others. I personnally thought it was good information for research purposes and I have made use of it. If I'm not the first to introduce this site, I'm sorry for the duplication. Later

Helped me. I'm looking at a MF1540. Dealer is asking $27,649 for the 1540 w/ MF attachments - FEL, BH, and 9" Post Hole digger. From what I've been able to figure out the price isn't bad but not as big a price break as he was claiming.

Good Mornin'
I am actively pursuing a JD 4115. I test drove a 4115, just two years out of warranty. Tractor was owned 2.2 years by a widow who ran a small ranch. She only used the tractor to clean stalls and move weight w/ the loader. Mid-and Rear-PTO's were never used. Tires are in excellent shape. Dealer, who I trust, qoted $14,500 w/ a weight box thrown in.
#1-Can you give me your opin on $14.5 for a 2+ year old 4115?
#2- Where can a novice go to get current value on tractors? (Like the NADA listings, "Blue-book" etc)

Answer to JDFanatic:
Work to be done is on 3 acres of Mountain meadow. Lot's of rock. My recent activities were hand clearing, mowing (G110 54"), leveling and pulling, hauling rock and boulders. Additionally, I've hauled approx 6000 lbs of fill dirt/sand w/ a rubbermaid (yes, rubbermaid) trailer. I'm ready to landscape and maintain it. I've bent two separate sleeve-hitch parts in the process of leveling and pulling rock w/ a G110. Tractor is doing superb.
Current projects require up to 8 tons of fill soil, 1 ton high grain sand and 3 tons of mulch. The soil prep will require a min. 48: box scraper to prep, then fill dirt on top of. Then, I also need to use my over 60 boulders to build retaining walls. Most are 80-200lb range. I have 12 boulders at easily 300-500 lbs. I have 4 over 3000 lbs (we'll just sorta leave them lie). In the winter, I'll deal with too numerous snow drops of up to 3 feet. The drifts are even bigger.
My dealer knows I'm in the immediate market for a subcut/cut, 23 horse or better. Altitude starts at 7280 feet. I need a FEL, box scraper, MMM 54" or better. I'm accepting a long wait before investing in a snow thrower. I'm looking preferably for AG tires (R4's). After reviewing the in-state dealers, I've settled on JD. My current toss-up is a 2210 or a 4115. Hence the 4115 questions. v/r mark

I would also take a look at the Kiotis and Mahindra's. They are great tractors.
