Massey Ferguson 5465, Kubota M5040, Farmall H (2), Minneapolis Moline R, Case 530CK, Cat 416C
Am I mistaking or have JD tractor prices jumped quite a bit since mid-2010? I was recently looking at used tractor prices and it seems that used 2010 models with less than 1000 hours are priced almost as much as the same tractor would have cost new in 2010. This is for tractors in the 85-115 HP range, but may apply to more.

What has not gone up exponentially in the last few years? The Federal Reserve is printing money like crazy, so the value of it is going down. In short, it takes more money to buy the same thing today. The tractor may bring the same dollar amount but that dollar buys less today.

Price of energy goes up, so does everything else. In tractors, two major things causing increase, cost of metal and other raw materials and emissions requirements.

Grain prices combined with emissions requirements.

We're just on the cusp of a deflationary environment caused by declining grain prices in large tractors but retiring boomers should sustain existing CUT prices through 2023.

The market for that size tractor is booming right now. It's the big articulating 4wd and row crops(180hp+) where you can get a deal right now cause dealer lots are slam full of them.
