Tractor for Journeys End Farm

What a long strange trip it's been? But more importantly how useful your input has been, THANKS! After considering used, grey, orange, green, blue, and even Lamborghini (still think that's a cool tractor) I finally decided on a 6400lbs (with beet juice and loader), 40 horse, syncro geared, RED Century 3040 brand new from the second closest (by ten miles) dealer, Fosketts in Woodstock CT.
Only regret so far (ask me in a year) is no cab available as Sims ahving just relocated to Canada from Worchester Mass. are not putting out any new models in the near future. Price with remotes and loading is $18K and change. Mark

Since you have relocated to Worcester, possibly if you contact Curtis Cab, who is also in Worcester, you might be able to work out a deal where they borrow your tractor to make the pattern for a cab in exchange for a free cab. I have to believe that if they could get a tractor delivered to the plant for a couple of weeks use to make all the measurements, that it would be a win win situation for both of you. It doesn't hurt to ask, but you need to get to the right person if it is going to be considered. I suggest that you ask for the engineering department head and make the proposal... The best thing to happen is that they say yes, worse.... they say no.. and the best part is that it doesn't cost anything to ask!!!!!!!! Junkman in Woodstock CT

I just drove a 3040 today at my nearest dealer, Meadowbrook Equipment. It is a really nice tractor. I know you will enjoy it. I look forward to hearing how you make out with yours in the Century/Branson section of TBN.
