This morning I thought I'd switch out my backhoe on the Deere and install bush hog, so I decided to lower the ROP, then back into a low overhang to store it. All at once I'm going up in the air!!!
I wished I had pictures, but this is what happened FAST...the ROP bar hit back of backhoe seat which tipped forward which moved the loader bucket levers. Thank God I shut tractor off and jumped down...back wheels 3ft or more off pavement. Lucky it was fairly level...and my excavator friend happened to be coming out of his driveway not far away to help. I lowered stabilizers all the way but they too way off the ground. With a long post I pushed ROP and seat back up, then eased levers slowly. We got it down.
Then my neighbor who grew up on a farm said as a kid he saw a farmer get wound up in a running pto, shirt got caught.
BE CAREFUL!!!!
