Looking for performance info on the Nokian tires on surfaces other than snow.

Wanting to upgrade my tractor (a JD3720 cab) to a JD 4052R cab. Looked at one this week which had the snow cab option, which adds 4th & 5th SCV's, rear wiper, and the Nokian tires. Not convinced I want these tires though...

Currently have the R1's and the have pretty good traction. They seem to do a respectable job in the snow although with out chains on the front I have gotten stuck a time or two when the tractor slid sideways into a shallow ditch along our driveway. Soil in the spring can be muddy (its clay) and I've never gotten stuck in the fields or in the woods.

I've read very favorable comments on the Nokians in the snow. But my question is how well do they work in other conditions?

I also have a set of R3 turf tires which I run all summer long for mowing, so I'm not concerned about performance on grassy surfaces.

Appreciate any and all comments and especially first hand experiences.

Thanks

The Nokians will NOT do as well as R-1s in mud, loose soil, or loose leaf litter in the woods.
They will handle better on pavement and ice.

Tried to get a set of Nokians for my Kubota but they don't make the size unless I had new rear wheels made. Ended up get new R1's and put screw in studs, so far very happy.

I have Nokian TRI 2 on my Kubota L4760. They do a nice job. I do a lot of brush hogging both on open fields and in the woods. I cut and carry a lot of wood and drag it out of the woods with no issuess. They do a nice job for me and I will purchase them again.
