I have been looking for a good heavy box scraper. EA is 6 months out on their build times for their heavy duty models and Gannon is quite a bit more money for theirs. I saw a video for the TR3 rake and those looks like a pretty nice attachment. I've inquired about the 10' one they have but haven't heard anything back yet regarding it. Anyone have any idea what those rakes run? I assume they are more than the 3800 box blade at EA, but how much more is the question.
Currently, I am using just a, 11' disc then a 12' cultimulcher to level out the field I just worked up. It is very uneven and has quite a few really low spots. I really don't do a lot of plowing but this particular field (4acre in size) needed it done at some point and since I made ruts this year, it was the perfect time to do it. I was hoping to find a good 8' heavy duty box blade before I started this but that wasn't the case. A little info on the ground as well, its clay and was a junkyard in the past. Most of the junk has been cleaned up but whenever any plowing happens, it brings up more and more rocks as well. So the use of scarifier teeth may find some big rocks or hunks of metal. Are the TR3 teeth pretty durable? I would also use the attachment to rip up packed rocky areas so it would need to hold up to that as well...
