Towable Backhoe Plans?

I want to build a towable backhoe and have been looking at a few different ones on the web. The ubuildit and Caddigger 821 both look good, has anyone built the ubuildit model and does it work well? And how does the 821 stack up to the ubuildit model?

I have used the ubuildit plans to build my towable backhoe not sure how it compares to the 821. Plans were straight forward and well documented, unfortunately never had a chance to use it (relocated) but the gentlemen who bought was estatic with the build. I can emphasize do not take shortcuts in the construction irregardless of which set of plans you use my my buddy learned the hard way by substituting different steel than specified. (bent the dipper stick and hurt his pride)

I built a 628 CadDigger a couple years ago and I've been very pleased with it. I also have plans for the 821, but decided to build the smaller model due to the cost of materials, etc. I mostly use it for small trenching jobs and it works great.

The CAD plans are excellent, very straight forward and includes all the info you need on pumps, hydraulics, engines, etc.

Decided on the UBUILDIT Ground Hawg plans which I have recieved today, won't to thank everyone for there imput. Now it's time to studie the plans and round up the supplies to make it happen. So if anyone has built one of these lately let me know how yours went. And I will be posting what I have done.

Have about half of the material and and have been working on my Atlas Lathe today, have the DOM material cut to lenth at work on the big band saw and will use the lathe to true up the tubing. Have most of the plate material cutout out of drop stock from work. Assembly coming soon, still rounding up parts. PS. had the catalytic converter stolen of my truck today in the parking lot at work. Beware.2000 Nissan Fronter 195000 miles. Platninum...

Just about done with my Ground Hawg backhoe, just have a few details to finish but it's usable and it works well so far. Paint job turned out good and have done put it in the dirt and scratched it up some.
