Tractor
Kubota L3830 GST
This is the final price the dealer gave me. $23,776 including tax. Don't know if I can do the no tax farm thing. I live in Greene County Indiana.

The tractor is a Kubota L3830 w/GST, R4 tires, FEL w/heavy duty bucket (pin on), bolt in teeth, and Woods 6' bush hog. It appears to be a good deal. Thoughts?

Thinking about upgrading to the quick attach bucket. I have a friend who is a store manager at a Bobcat rental store. He thinks I could use his attachments on my tractor. The hydraulic flow is a little low, but for light work he said they would work. Has anyone tried this? I don't know how much this option is either. It may not be worth the money. I can't forsee why I would ever remove the bucket anyway. But for the use of FREE /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif attachments, why not.

Also, the only other thing I can think of, is this price doesn't include fluid in the tires.

Thanks,
Dave

I have been pricing an L3130 with LA723 loader. It seems that the quick attach option for that loader is about $350 plus about $250 at the bucket. For me with having back and hip problems, it is well worth the cost versus potential health costs. I have plans for several attachments such as pallet forks and a tree shear so that the easy quick change is necessary for me. You must make such evaluation for your self.

Dave & all,
the 3830 sounds like a great tractor. I test drove one at a dealer. Still, I've been going back and forth on the NH 45 or the JD 4710 or JD 5205 all with 4x4, FEL, Backhoe. Still unsure which to go out and buy. Anyone out there have suggestions? I need some clarity.

My local dealer just quoted me $19550 for the L3830, R4 tires, FEL, HD bucket w/tooth bar, and GST.

The ones you are comparing too, seem to be one step above it. I think you get more bang for your buck out of the Kubota, but they are all good machines. You might want to price a 4330 or better in order to compare to the NH 45 and JD 4710.

I loved it when I test drove it. It was only 3 cyl., but was very quiet and smooth. I'm 95% sure this is what I am going to get. I may go place my order tonight. The local dealer was $1500 cheaper, but doesn't have one on the lot:(

Thanks,
Dave
