Hello to all the zero-turn professionals. I am going to upgrade from my Gravely Pro-Turn 152. It is a great mower but I want something a little bit bigger.
I was almost dead set on a Gravely 560 but the dealer I went to has Toro as well. I have never sat on or drove one until yesterday. I tested the myride 4000 series with 31 hp Kaw. with 26 inch Voodoo tires. I am very impressed with this mower and leaning towards this from the Gravely. It is smooth riding and comfortable to me. The only issue with it was you cant get EFI until you upgrade to the 5000 series which has a 25 HP Kohler EFI. Is it worth the extra bucks to jump one series to get the EFI?
Also, today I tested a Toro 4000 pro without myride and a Gravely 360. They did not have the 560. The 360 sat higher and looks beefier but to my suprise the Toro pro felt better and nicer to me. Still have not tested the 560 Gravely EFI yet with air ride seat.
So now I am torn. Die hard Gravely man but the Toro Zmaster is starting to change my mind.
I am on 16 acres with rolling hills. Currently at 4 acres of grass and growing (will likely end up with 8 acres open land). Also, cut my church property which is 3 acres. Comfort is at the top of my list. Will I be well served with the 4000 myride or should I jump to the 5000 series to get the EFI and a bigger Hydros? Should I wait until I get on a Gravely 560 first? I have to drive for that one. Cant find one close to me. The 360 is similar in size but does not have the air ride seat.
Any opinions/thoughts on these mowers?
Toro 4000 HDX-myride, 60", 26 inch Voodoo tires, hydraulic deck lift, zt 4400 transaxels
Toro 5000 myride, 60", 24 x 12 tires, Parker transmission, 25 hp Kohler EFI
Gravely 560, 26 x 12 wheels, air ride seat, 38 HP Kaw EFI, Parker HGT transmission
