This spring while hauling seed out to the field my wife noticed grease splatter all over the back of the bucket, the boot was wide open and flung all the grease out. That morning I had greased the TC and all was fine, my wife only drove it on the rode, about 5 miles to the field, and when she got there it was wide open.

I called the dealer to get a new boot, he informed me there was no part number for just the boot, so I got the whole axle with both boots and axle new.

When I first saw your D series, I thought the exposed boot was a potential problem. Way too easy for brush and sticks to tear them. Same problem on early ATV's and now nearly standard on ATV's. The TC needs to have a boot guard. I bet in the the future there will be one, simple plastic cover mounted to the A arms would probably be good enough. Need them on the front and rear axles. A thin piece of sheet metal could be fabricated and attached to the A arms if the problem reoccurs.
How do you otherwise like the TC. You probably have a good deal of experience by now. Any complaints? How is the ride? Do you wish it had a suspension set as well? Traction? My dealer has had 3 on order for his inventory since March and still can't get them yet.

Suspension seat is not needed, my wife thinks the ride is great also. The traction is as good as any skid loader maybe better than my 753. It works great for mowing, but I would recommend anyone to get the 90" mower otherwise it would be really hard to get close to anything. Pulling things or pushing into a pile all 4 wheels pull evenly, and in work mode it is easy to just inch up to things.
Some poeple have talked about how fast it stops when you let off the pedal, but with the D it only seems to stop fast in work mode otherwise it coasts pretty gently to a stop.
I'm not sure how the boot tore, it might have been too tight that turning sharp tore it because I didn't have it in any brush or terran that could have tore it in the first 50 hours.

Back to the Toolcat hospital..My rear passenger axle boot tore on my D close to the wheel. Looks like it spun on the axle but will wait to hear what mechanic thinks. While it is in, I hope to get this annoying sudden slow down fixed when driving down my road, as I mentioned in an earlier post. Mechanic thinks it is the overide to protect the hydraulic system but the C I had on loan did not do it..
Another interesting discovery that owners can duplicate next time you are digging in a gravel pile is to bury the bucket as you drive into pile spinning all 4 wheels to create pockets then lift full bucket against pile so rear wheels are light and then try backing out, the rear wheels will spin and the fronts do not move----

The issue with the rear wheels spinning is not supposed to happen with the new d drive system per my sources
