running in the corn fields , apparently a corn stalk that was sticking up jammed into the rubber boot that encloses the drive shaft to the front wheels. this driveshaft turns all the time it's running, and the boot protects the U-joint .
i would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and possibly what i can do to rectify it.it looks as tho taking the u-joint apart is at least a day long job.. but i have to protect that moving joint...any ideas???
thank you for your time and attention.

You might want to repost this question on the " ATV and utility vehicle" forum. You will definately need to replace the boot. They're might be some kind of skid plate offered from Deere to protect the boot from making contact with rocks and debree. I'm sure a XUV owner on the other forum will be able to answer your question with much more detail.
