If one were to buy a utility tractor with a top n tilt kit already installed and wanted to mount a rear pull type mower, would the top n tilt have to be removed? Would the hydraulic cylinders not stay in place while mowing? The other thing is if I need one or both remotes for the mower (to lift a wing or adjust height, etc.) If the hydraulic lines aren't hooked up to the topntilt cylinders, is there a problem with them?

Common sense is telling me that the kit sould prolly be removed alltogether, but I wanted some opinions becuase I've never dealt with this situation. Thanks.

you should probably remove the toplink, but I dont see why the sidelink would be a problem, it may move some, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

If I don't want to use the hydraulic topping lift I just disconnect it from the implement and leave it attached to the tractor supported by a nylon strap so it doesn't clang around and hurt itself.

Pretty much what I do too.
As far as the hydraulic cylinders moving when disconnected, I don't think they would since they are "capped off" with the QD's (or DPOCV's) and no place for the fluid to go unless there is bypass in the cylinder itself...but unlikely.

Unless I need the hydraulics for something else, I don't even disconnect the hoses. I'd take off the topping lift when attaching the BH but only because it would get in the way of the seat

I don't think you need to remove anything for mowing unless you need the hose, as you mentioned, in which case some sort of check valve assembly would be good - always wondered if the quick connects would serve that purpose.

I suppose they would to a degree, not letting any fluid in or out when disconnected.

I should add that I like having the top cylinder on with the bush hog as it adds to the adjustability. Can't think of much advantage to the side cylinder, but can't think of a disadvantage either.

I don't see why, for the life of me, you would need to do anything. You're talking about a PULL type mower. I don't have a TNT but when using my pull type mower I just push the lift arms out wide and leave the toplink on. Of course the TL does have a bracket that supports it when not in use on my tractor. Sometimes I mow with the lift arms in the highest position, sometimes in the lowest. The only thing I could see needing to do is disconnect a hydraulic hose if, and only if, you need it to hook up to the mower to raise the deck.

Exactly. As was said in the opening question, it's a PULL type mower, not a 3pt hitch mower.
