Proof of Concept Test: Even with a Quick Hitch, I manually connect the top pin on a majority of my implements due to design of the implements.

...And I end up needing to reach through the back of the tractor to the Top Link valve control to adjust the top link. Bit of a stretch and a PIA.

Been thinking about it - - - and I have $2.99 invested in the solution, modeled after an old fashioned choke.

The wire caught my eye at Home Chepo. Sign holder, with fair amount of stiffness. The rest was on hand. A couple of tiewraps and an R cotter pin.

It works!

I'll see what is necessary to make it more "industrial" if it doesn't hang together.

R Cotter pin fits very tight on the lever, the tiewrap was added just for insurance.

The other tiewrap is loose, acting as a guide to hold the wire in place, and anchored under the tool box.

I may make the wire slightly shorter overall, but it's in a clear location with nothing placing it in jeopardy.

I see you have a 'Ritchie' watch band on. Good watch bands. I have one on my Seiko 5 Sports Automatic watch. I have the solid (no stripe) canvas one in blue. Matches the dial face on the Seiko.

Sometimes, the camera sees the unseen....lol

It's a "bastard band" Mr. 5030.

I'm generally agreeable and a non-complainer, though always trying to improve.

Anytime I catch myself being a turd, I swap it to the other wrist. Goal is 21 days straight on the same wrist.

I'm at about 7 days between swaps right now...

it works for push and pull? that is some creative engineering. nice work.

mine is a cab so I have to walk around to the right side, realise the door is locked walk back to the left side get in and then adjust the top link. then try not to forget to unlock the right side door so I don't go for a walk around the tractor next time as well. I will have to look I may be able to do the same since the valves are close by under the cab my wire would not have to go into the cab. You could have one for the three point up and down also.

It does work for push and pull!

Great idea. I have contemplated doing something similar for the 3pt on my tractor.

Nice work! I might consider it on my L6060 HSTC.

For now, I open the side window. When I stand next to the rear tire, I can reach through, operate all the hydraulics and still see the 3pt hitch. I can't reach the cylinders though, so there is still a bit of guess work.

I did something similar with the treddle pedal on my old B7100 HST. The seat swiveled to use the backhoe and it was a pain to move the tractor. I bent a piece of rebar, hooked it to the treddle, and rigged it so I could move the tractor while using the hoe.

My control valves are too stiff for a piece of wire but it's a great idea. I'd have to use something like a 1/4" rod or larger to be able to use a push/pull action. But I don't like being between the tractor and an implement when the tractor is running. I make all my powered implements QH compatible--Including the top link. That's where TnT saves the day. But I do have to make an adjustment to the QH for my newest mower. I have to move the hook to the upper limit, but I can do that long before moving the tractor.

I think thats where my plan would fail. the lever is relatively easy to move but when I get down to the control valve outside the cab my guess is the force required would be too big.
