Currently looking at a Top Dog Granite Grapple sold by Rural King. Benefit if they have them in stock not too far away from me. Anyone have any feedback about them?

I have been in contact with Top Dog Attachments directly when I asked what sort of steel is used in the construction of their grapples.

Makes me nervous that there aren't more people here who have used their products, or at least not noticed this thread asking about them.

When you look at google maps the address on their website is CJ Incorporated. Found this:

Top Dog is a manufacturer of over 50+ American Made Attachments based in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. In 2012, Top Dog was established by its parent company CJ Inc., formally known as CJJ Inc., who first started manufacturing in 1983. We are a family owned company that is led by Darren Bremseth, who has been in the manufacturing business for over 25 years. At Top Dog one of our top priorities is customer service, we aim to provide our customers with an exceptional experience they won’t forget.

It looks like it is an American Made equipment company. The "Granite" part of the name is ambiguous, and a poor choice for a brush grapple.

When reading about Everything Attachments, they talk about various steel alloys (AR450 tines).

However, the steel choice is completely absent from the TopDog pages. Are those bottom teeth solid or hollow?

A single photo for all of the Granite grapples including 4 different sizes?

On the tooth bar (another product), TopDog does list, "Cutting Edge Material: C1055" which is a heat treated steel.

But, alas, no mention of it with the grapple.

No serrations on the bottom teeth.

Anyway, I'd like to see a little more effort with the website creation, but overall the grapple doesn't look bad.

I am debating between buying from Top Dog direct, or driving down to Crystal River to eyeball the grapple in person at the Rural King there. Not much difference in price buying it either way. And after the EA fiasco, it might be more comforting to be able to put my hands on what I want to buy, and if satisfactory, just tell them to load it up in my truck so I can take it back home with me.

Been watching YouTube videos showing the grapple in use that are 5 years old, so appears they have been around for a little bit.

Express steel and tomahawlk both also make grapples and are a US company. I believe both have grapples for cheaper than RK.
