ChasK, if you mean what is the difference in toothbars, there isn't usually a lot. Most differences one will find are in how it's mounted, either with a bolt on each end, bolted into the side of the bucket, or bolted through the cutting edge. Some tootbars will have a V that sits over the cutting edge and bolts onto the ends, very stabile. With a bolt on cutting edge rather than a welded on, one will possibly need to buy a "heavy duty" toothbar that will go over the bolt on. Some toothbars may have more teeth than others, but for a say, 54", one will usually find 6 or 7 teeth which is plenty. Larger models will of course have more teeth as a rule. There are so many advantages to having a toothbar over not. The breaking up of dirt is just one. It also helps to get things into the bucket more efficiently, say a pile of leaves, vines and sticks that would push off the front of the bucket when trying to pick it up, the teeth would "grab" it and help it into the bucket. I've also found that I can put an appliance on the teeth and roll it back onto the bucket to move it. There are just so many uses for one, it really will pay for itself. John
