Toothbar for BX22?

I read here that there are optional toothbars available for the BX22's FEL. Would anyone happen to have a picture of one installed? Do you like it? I also read that some are removeable and some are not. Are there pros and cons to this? Thanks!

Toothbars can be added to most FEL buckets and usually are not specific to a particular tractor brand although you can buy them from your dealer. For example, I have a TC25D and I bought my toothbar from Carver, a Kubota dealer. While some on TBN might disagree, the general consensus of opinion is they are worth it. Unless you are always going to be digging, I can not imagine why someone would want to permanently install a toothbar. I wouldn't want to try and clear my driveway of snow with my toothbar installed.

I have a toothbar on my BX22 and love it. I've only removed it one time for scooping a load of gravel off the driveway, and it comes off in about 3 minutes with a rachet and open end wrench. Well worth the investment, it actually give you some real digging power up to about 3" - 4" in average soil (within limitations, it's won't make your tractor into an excavator) on the FEL. Makes it much easier to pluck rocks out of the ground as well...you just edge up to the rock and move the one of the teeth under it, and flip it up into the bucket.

You have to be seriously careful walking around the front end of the loader with the toothbar installed. Those teeth are SHARP and will lay open your shin with the slightest bump into it.

Byrd Tractor in Manassas, VA has them in stock for the BX22 and 2200...they cost between $ 250 and $ 300 and are bolt-on.
