I see you the latest model in self positioning strap filter wrenches. They surely are handy for getting the strap around awkwardly placed filters. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Take care
what kind of snake is that? I'm scared to death of snakes, although once, after a very large intake of beer, someone put a python around my neck and snapped a picture.. What a way to be almost instantly cured out of a good drunk...
Now the quandry. Which would bother you the most? A snake hunting rats in your toolbox? Or a rat making a home there?
A snake like that around the place will keep "things' from becoming destroyed by rats. Not a bad neighbor to have when one considers the alternatives. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I suppose if I lived a long time in Texas and knew the lay of the land, I would over look that "rat" snake myself.. When it comes to snakes and not knowing most from the others, I can run so fast that I can sit down and watch myself arrive!!!
TXdon is that a copper head, I cant tell the shape of his head. Most of the times here a snke is dead. One in the tool box gets extra special attention. Last weekend I was about to use my foundry to melt some aluminum for a project when I oppened the lid something had struck at me. I looked inside and it was ground rattler. I didn't have much to get im out with so I closed the lid and taped shut the exhaust holes. I went and got some long channel locks and tossed the sob out on the 12000 volt goat fence.
One of my buds said I shouldnt kill snakes but theirs alot of places they can hide under in my shop that i usually reach under without thinking. We have a little fiest dog about 12 years old that death to any snake or lizard she finds., And another fiest that is scared of them but has a better nose. They make a good pair.
Harv, you are right. This is a nonvenomous Juvenile (only 4 feet long) Texas Rat Snake. They are a different coloring than a adult and the first thing I think is a copperhead. I took the toolbox outside and the snake slithered away. Later I saw him under my utility trailer next to the shed. Looks like I have a new pet. But I will start to keep my toolbox closed to reduce the risk of heart attack. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
