toolcat will not shut off

i have run in to this problem before and cant remember what i had to do to fix it. The a model will not shut off the key and ignition and electrical does but the motor keeps running.

The inst panel should show a diagnostic code for this problem, probably 13-05,13-06,13-07,or 14-02,14-03. to indicate that the fuel shutoff solenoid is not working. To check it, you must remove the operator seat. You can disconnect the wire connector. With an ohm meter, the reading between the white and black should read between .4-.5 ohms. If that doesn't seem to be the problem, it could be the shut down sequence in the computer, which might reset if you disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect. After that, it's off to high priced bobcat territory. Good luck

to tell you the truth we have been working 7 days a week so havent had a chance to let them take it in. we have been killing it by letting it stall. Today was a diffent story finishing up for the day at dark and had employee running it and he went to stall it at low rpms and like i figured would happen eventually we had the toolcat running backwards - used all the water overheating and blowing exhaust out the aircleaner. So as you know you loose all controls - you cant kill it by choking out air cleaner - wont die by pulling all fuses - no time in the dark and cant get the box up to get to the fuel shut off - un hook the battery not going to help. so after about 4 minutes of me trying to figure something out i just spun the fuel filter off and had to let it die that way. So yeah i need to get caught up with work and get it into the shop.

Sounds kind of rough on the ol'gal. Hope you can get it repaired before something else breaks!!

Just spoke with my sevice manager about my toolcat and mentioned your problem..he thinks it is the solenoid that needs to be replaced

Yah i was pretty sure it was just the solenoid myself but now that it ran backwards for that long of time i am having them go through the whole thing to make sure before i give there rental back.
