Does anyone here have any experience with a pronovost pto drive blower on a toolcat 5610. Just curious, I have been dreaming of a way to buy a toolcat for residential blowing on 2, 3, and 4 stall drives, as well as some long high end lake front driveways. I have been looking at a 5600 because i like the dump bed and hitch for pulling trailers on job sites. But the 5610 may be a better way to go, because i could put a plow on the front. But another point for the 5600 is the salt spreader that can be added. Mostly i am just curious about how the 5610 would handle a 68" Pronovost blower. Or will a high flow hydraulic blower be just fine?

Thanks.

Any thoughts?

I put my 74 inch pto blower on the back of my 5610 and it ran it just fine. Mine is a Buehler Farm King. I think a plow on the front and the blower in the back would be a good set-up for drives. (BTW the 5610 has a reciever hitch too) The plow will be faster in light snows. I have been using mine with a snow pusher. The four wheel steer works nice because you can actually steer with a load of snow.
I am getting ready to sell my 5610 because I need something bigger, for running a batwing in the summer. I have a little JD 3720 that will stay on driveway duty in the winter even though it is marginally big enough to get out of it's own way in snow. The snowblower is on the tractor, as that is about the only way it can move snow.

I run a 60" blower on the rear of my 5610 and plow on the front. The rear pot will ocasssionally stop in really deep snow. I did some drifts that were 4-5' last year. Just need to go real slow in heavy stuff. Imo the rear blower works as well as a front hydraulic blower. The extra width of a 68" blower would be better than my 60".

The 5610 has a 2" receiver hitch to pull trailers. I mounted a hitch on my 3 pt and use that to move trailers. Just back up, raise 3 pt and go with trailer.
You could buy a 3 pt fertilizer/seeder to use with the pto to apply salt and sand.

Thanks everyone, I am only curious about the Pronovost because of the hydraulic back drag feature they have. It would save a LOT of hand labor at one of the condo assn. we do. They have 134 units and another is almost 200. We currently do them with a couple track loaders with 5 and 6 foot hydraulic blowers. I am looking to expand the blowing with a toolcat because it's mobile and can go from site to site on it's own. most of our stuff is close together.
I Really want a 5600 because of the dump bed, but I am working with a couple guys who do small 1-2 acre organic community supported agriculture farms (CSA). They have me do some grading and so on with my track loader and wondered if I can do tilling and disking for themas well. I thought the 5610 may be a better way to go because of the PTO. I need to find a few more things to do with it to make it pay. How big of a PTO mower will a 5610 pull? does anyone know?

I mow with a Woods C80 80 inch two blade bush hog and a Woods RD84 7 foot finish mower. Runs the bush hog no problem, the finish mower takes the most power. This pic is the finish mower cutting some seriously thick grass.

Nice, how many acres per hour can it mow? Do you think a 5600 with a hydraulic mower would do just as well? Better or worse?
