Used the PTO for both post hole digger and seed spreader. Now PTO does not spin. Everything looks normal up to it showing RPM on display but then immediately hear a beep and control panel locks up. The only thing I can do is hit the stop button and then start the machine back up again. There is also no error code when holding the "lights" button, it says none for errors. Any ideas on this issue?

Thanks!
Paul

Your not hitting the finger trigger to turn on front hydraulics, are you? It will only run one of them at a time.

Nope, not hitting the trigger. Just turning on PTO. As soon as it beeps 3 times and shows initial RPM on display, it beeps 1 time and locks up everything on control panel. The only button that does something at that point is "stop".

The only thing I see about the PTO shutting off in the owner's manual is pg 54 about over reving to 600/630rpm. Do you have this book? It doesn't sound like your situation though.

The PTO diverter valve switches the flow of hyd oil to either the PTO or the front aux hyd.

The diverter valve is under the cab on the passanger side. There is a solenoid that you can check (6.8ohms). Maybe you ripped wires off going through brush? The solenoid is on one end and the switch is on the other end of the valve.

I only used the PTO once several years ago, but seems like you have to push the aux hydraulics button first.

The 3 beeps is definitely a trouble code. The following 1 beep is the shut down. activate the trouble code display first then try the PTO. That may show you the code.

Bought the service manual and after it came in, found the PTO diverter valve and it was in fact the connector got pulled off the valve so thanks for the tip ruffdog. Odd that they did not put any protection inside the wheel well for those wires. I rerouted the wires to be above the hydraulic lines instead of dangling below them lol.

I'm happy to help when I can! I'm glad it was something simple and cheap to fix too.
