Just sold my '61 Ford 601 (2WD, no FEL) for a new Branson 3510 4WD /w FEL. Although it's way more than I need for my 4 acres, I love it! BUT - where the heck can I install a tool box? No room I can see on the floor, under the carriage, or on the axles or frame. I was thinking about a small box out the front between the uprights at the bottom of the front bumper frame, but the first bump into a truck bed or dirt pile would probably take it out. Maybe install a piece of steel in front of the box? Any ideas?

Nope. But that's exactly what I'm looking for. Did that toolbox come with the Century? The Branson dealer didn't have anything made for the tractor. I guess I could just make up a bracket & throw on a plastic box. Thanks a lot!

mhsasse I bought one at a New Holland dealer and mounted it on my right side step on my 2810. I just drilled a hole in the bottom and put twom bolts in it, since I don't use that side of the step b/c of the handle for my loader. Mine is plastic also but very rugged.

My toolbox is on a NH not a Branson, but it might give you an idea. I put a diamond plate pick up truck box on the back, then glued a SMV sign onto the back of the box. Toolbox on my tractor

I considered putting a plastic box on the floor under the loader controls (thanks, Big Lug), but I would still like to figure out how to bracket one onto the back (like MicroPilot's) without interfering with the TPH components. Bob's toolbox is great and the height of it solves the problem of putting the SMV on the backside of the box, but I was just looking for a squat tool box to throw a couple of wrenches, pins, and maybe a mini grease gun into.

I think I'll try to fashion a bracket like on the Century and see if I can get it to fit. Thanks for all your input, and if anyone knows where to get ready-made Kukje components for this, let me know.

Also, I don't read much on this site about the Kukje tractors, although they seem like a heck of a lot for the money. Does anyone have positive/negative impressions of the Branson/Century lines? Also, how come the 2 different names? Are both still made or is Branson the successor to Century. "Century" seems non-descriptive and "Branson" reminds me of Boxcar Willie. I would almost rather have a "Kukje" decal on my tractor.

Mike, I don't know the cost but if you go to the Century dealer in your area I would bet you can get what you are looking for.

The short version of the story: Branson contracted with Kukje to build tractors for import. Century did the same. So 2 importers had one manufacturer building the same tractor with different decals on it. Century apparently got into some trouble, their brand is now marketed by Zetor and I believe is now part owned by Kukje. I believe Branson is now also partially owned by Kukje. The two companies do not honor the other warrenties on the other brand despite some apparent common ownership. The tractors seem to be very solid, there are good reports. These are very typical Korean machines in that they have quite a few features for the money, but they are also large and heavy tractors for their respective horsepower. For some applications, that heavy weight is a good thing. Long term reliability is probably about as good as most other machines. Some dealership issues have been reported, with some crummy dealers . . . however, most people complain about the lousy dealers and rarely do we see posts about the good dealerships so take the reports with a grain of salt. I would suggest, no matter what brand you consider, you look at the dealership and make sure it is a quality dealer who will be around to support you in the future, one who has a good service department with experienced mechanics, and one that has a well stocked parts department.

Bob, thanks for the background info on Kukje and its many brands.

I'm with you on the dealer issues. I actually was convinced to buy Branson by another dealer, but bought from the dealer I did because his business was way more substantial and long established. We'll see how well he follows through on his committments, but so far I like the impression I have.
