Is this a scam? Too good to be true????

Hey guys new here im posting this for my dad anyway we are in need of a new tractor and have been searching for weeks just a couple days ago came across a deal on craiglist 2005 kubota l3400 70 in deck with front end loader 90hrs asking 3,000!!!!!. She says recently divorced and has no need for it. She sent couple of pics of it only thing is there is palm trees in the background and I know there is none in ohio but looks almost new. Exchanged a few emails back and forth and says yes 3,000 is what she wants for it. We are about 230 miles away she is located in valley city oh. This deal seems to good to be true what do you think we could buy this and resell for 3-4x as much right? Maybe its one of those deals where the seller really has no idea what she has. Just sent email back asking for vin and recent pics of it we will see. Any way we only have 4 acres but can make money off of it plus it is a BIG step up from our deere 335 :laughing:

This is usually a scam. This same description and price has been on Craigs lists all over the country with the same story. They also have a Camry a couple of years old for $3000 that's already crated up for shipping. Maybe buy them both. It's a scam but if you can go to the door with the money and drive it away then do it.

My Mom and Dad live in Valley City and I will be down there visiting for Father's Day. If you have an address I will do a drive by for ya.

I agree with the others, scam. I see these types of adds on Craig s List daily.

I say drive the 230 miles to lay eyes on it prior to paying.

Reply and tell the seller that you have a friend who lives 5 mins down the road, and ask if can they come out and inspect it. I predict that you will get a line of bull manure about it being in a warehouse/shipping facility packaged (or in a container) and ready to ship out.

Do not pay anything until you take possession of the tractor (which you will not as they dont have it).

I came across the same kind of deal on a boat.
Told them I had a friend in the area would come look at it. They had a bunch of excuses why they couldn't meet them.
Said I should send the $ they would arrange for shipping.
So I told them to send me their bank information so I could transfer the funds.
Never heard from them again.

EXACT SAME AD listed in Vermont's Craig's list. IT IS A SCAM!!!
I e-mailed to confirm this, same reply essentially as other listings by this "person".
I then flagged it for removal.
